Today was National Salad day. Did you know that? Nope? Neither did I. I didn't figure it out until I went for a run around Capitol park and found McDonald's giving out free salads. So I had a nice big asian salad for lunch. It was yummy, after I removed the bell peppers. Seriously, who puts bell peppers in any type of asian salad? I ended up giving the apples, grapes, and walnuts to a friend who didn't have time for lunch. Drat, I was so craving that.
Back to the point. So today was national salad day. It's also Arthritis Awareness month and ride your bike to work month. Actually, if you look here, may is national something month for about 25 or 30 things. It's also, supposedly, national hambuger month. I think be kind to animals week is squeezed in there some where as well.
Does anyone else think that maybe these month, day, week things have just gone a little to far. It's gotten to the point where I don't really care anymore. The more we talk about this stuff, the less we do anything about it. Just give me Talk Like A Pirate Day and I will be happy.
