Week 1

I considered renaming this blog into something like "Musings of a Law Student," but I think I've already seen that before, several times. So I won't. Hopefully I won't focus solely on my experiences in law school - but I bet ya it's going to be a trend throughout the next few years. Oh, I might decided to write on a different topic when something weird and unusual happens  (like a member of the male species acting in a rational manner) or when I need a break from thinking about school, but don't expect it too often. I'm not that creative of a person.

But yes, I've started school - again. For the next 4 years (yes, that's FOUR years), I'm dedicating my spare time to get another degree. I'm still questioning my sanity. I keep reminding myself that people go back to get their doctorate at my age all the time. Instead of a  dissertation at the end of 4 years, I just have to pass the bar.  Of course, everyone tells me I'm going to have to lock myself into a closet for three months to study, if I want to pass. Alas, after marathons and triathlons, I guess I needed something else to satisfy my masochistic tendencies.

My first week is over. Lawyering skills on Tuesday, Torts on Wednesday, and Contracts on Thursday and I should REALLY be reviewing my torts reading. I did it once already, and twice, I think I need a third time. And if you are asking what a tort is, I'll tell you it's not a pastry.

But believe it or not, the classes are not bad - despite the fact they are three hours long. The whole socratic method makes the class very interactive and fun. Yeah, I know I'm going to called on one day and I'll make a complete fool out of myself in front of the class, but at least I'll be a source of humor for someone.  I just love making people laugh at me.
