Doing what I need to

Why do people feel the need to question me? Okay, maybe I'm a little anal about things - but when I go into exams, especially my first law school exam, with the little nagging  reminder in the back of my brain reminding me that unless I do well, I lose my scholarship, I want to be prepared.

I want to know all of the factors. I want to be able to state a and b and c, and even, possibly d, e and f. I want to know everything so that when that paper ends up in front of me I remember most of it. I want to be able to look at an the essay question (which I only get 75 minutes to answer) and have several variety of ways to look at it. The more issues I find, the more points I get.

I study - a lot. I spend hours at Weatherstone drinking Chair and reading and rereading, making two different outlines plus bright green flash cards. I memorize names, I write down the Rowland factors once a day, every day to make sure all seven are in my head, I know the difference between the duty in this and the scope of liability in that. I'd like to know everything. Makes me a hell of a lot calmer than I would be otherwise.

There is no reason for someone to tell me I'm studying incorrectly and wasting my time. No need to call me dumb for learning the difference between Clohessy and Thing.  No need to say I'm wasting valuable brain space with unnecessary details (you do remember I'm smart, right?).

You do what you need to do, I do what I need to do. Now leave me alone!

I need to go look at more flashcards.
