Truely Why

Why did I start this page/ blog/ thing

1. I am a lemming, a cow, a member of the borg, whatever you want to call it. My friends all have pages, therefore I must have one too. My mother would ask, if they all jumped off a bridge, would you? And since I am the only one I know to actually have jumped off a bridge, (yes, I have the video to prove it.), I guess I would have to respond with a: Yes, yes I would. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2. I am a geek. To keep that title, I must participate in all things geeky. I can not let my friends all be geekier than I. I have fought long and hard to be called a geek and will not let such a thing slip through my fingers due to inaction on my part.

3. I am busy. Currently, I am earning my masters degree and am taking 5 classes and working as a GSR (graduate student researcher). I do not have time to write e-mails explaining my life story to every wonderful individual that I meet. So therefore, as it is, this is a way to put thoughts, ideas, rants, and rambles for other hapless individuals to read and laugh and say “Oh my god, what is that girl’s problem.” BTW, if you do ask that, I have a list I can send you. Or you can send me your ideas and I will add them to mine. Whatever works. But this is a way for people to hear about my incredible boring life right now (consisting of school, school, and, can you guess, school) and I don’t have to feel guilty about not e-mailing everyone. Whoo-hoo.

4. Will I keep this up? I don't know. I have been told I have to write more, but we'll see. Just as a warning, I tend to have political thoughts and be a little (just a teensy, weensy bit) opinionated. So, ah, beware, things may get a bit hairy. :-)
