Biking

I liked March. March was a good month. I performed at the Mondavi Center and met up with old friends, danced for hours on end, saw Josh Groban in concert, and went bike riding.

In fact, I had some great rides this month. A couple of weeks ago I made the discover that I am a two mile bike ride from Discovery Park. For those that don't know, Discovery park is a huge 'ol park by the American River. There are places to play in the water, BBQ food, and go for really long bike rides.

In fact, you can take such long bike rides (when the paths are opened. They were closed because of the fire. Since the trestle has rebuilt amazingly fast, they might be open now) that I might start training for a century . Well, how about I start with a half century and work my way up.

Actually, I am not doing all that poorly for someone that hasn't biked in an age. I went out a couple if weekends ago for a 15 miler, and wasn't even sore. Another time, after two nights of dancing and two nights of 3-4 hours of sleep, I went for a 16 mile bike with my Dad, and survived. Of course when I went dancing that evening, one guy wondered if I was on something. I was just tired, but man was I tired. I still am. I'm going to sleep tonight. I hope. Damn insomina.
